Nightwing Help!

Hey everyone, so I'm brand new to making costumes and what not, and I love nightwing so I decided to try and make a costume for next year's comicon in Denver based off of the New 52 (red suit). So the spot I'm in is I'm making his escrima sticks, and those are coming along great! But does anyone know where he stores them? And how I should attempt to make it?
