About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This is my RX-178 Gundam Mk-II costume from Zeta Gundam. It took about 4-5 months to make and it is made from a combination of Sintra, EVA foam and Fiberglass. This is my 4th giant robot costume and for this build I focused on improving my mobility, adding more detail overall and using more lighting effects.
It is over 7 ft tall and the torso has a built in music system and cooling fans. It has numerous lighting effects in both legs, shoulders, eye and backpack. The faceplate is magnetically attached so that I can remove it on the fly to talk to people more clearly and get a better look around. The shield and rifle are also loaded with magnets for posing and storage options as well as compartments for storing business cards, fans, and the magnetic faceplate when not in use. The beam saber is made from a modified Ultrasaber.
