Construction Details:

The yellow polo shirt was purchased from K-Mart (Boys size L). The green dress is made from a cotton sateen, was patterned and constructed by myself. The yellow socks were purchased, reused from a previous costume. The shoes were a plain white sneaker base bought from payless. I then created the individual elements which were then handsewn onto the shoe. The fox puppet is made out of fleece and felt. I patterned the puppet myself.

Personal Thoughts:

I love Digimon. A lot. A whole lot. Tamers was a fantastic series, and I definitely wanted to cosplay something from this season too. Firewolf826 had done Takato the previous year at Otakon, but I had not attended and missed out. But because she is my cosplay boyfriend, and I really love doing couples/partners with her, I was determined to cosplay Jeri with her as soon as the next opportunity presented itself. I was able to lure her to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden's Sakura Matsuri festival with promises of doing Jeri and Takato together there. I was so happy we did.

Styling Notes

At the time, Arda did not have a short enough style I needed in stock. I purchased a Ferrari, straightened it out. Cut the hair down to the length I needed. I added some extra extensions to areas where I'd be parting the hair and was worried it would get too thin. I styled the bangs, which was kind of the most annoying thing about it all. Then I gathered the hair into a ponytail and topped it off with her green ribbon!
