Construction Details:

Dress and headpiece made from black velvet, lace fabric, lace trim and blue ribbons, using a modified pattern. The blue flower, tights, socks, gloves and shoes are store-bought.

Personal Thoughts:

Back in the days (by that I mean in early-2000's) I started a website called Mana Wannabe, where I posted tutorials on how to do makeup to look like Mana, the guitarist from the J-rock band Malice Mizer. I didn't have an official Mana cosplay until 2004-ish; this one is actually my second, and the one that I love most. The designs of Saikai no Chi to Bara is so thoroughly gothic and elegant that I can't resist making it. I even did my first photoshoot in it! Even though I had to throw it away, this costume will always have a special place in my heart.
