About this Costume
Construction Details:
My mother and I chose the fabrics together, made use of an old piece of fur from my grandmother for the top and put together different random flower patterns (which are really innacurate, I know, and I want to change that as soon as possible).

I then went belt-hunting (which proved to be rather useless, as I ended up buying a few meters of synthetic leather in different colors and making them myself) and also proceeded to make all the jewelry with tons of beads (except for the pearl necklace). All the hairpins were also hand-made, and then went through a massive revamp on 2009 in order to be more faithful, paying more attention to details and colors. The hair is my real one dyed with a blueish black tone and with the addition of a cheap bun bought in a local store and modified by myself that I'm dying to trash as it's quite crappy ^^u My first Mog plush was a little one because I didn't know about the wonders of shopping by Internet at that time and that was the only one I could find XD But years later, conventions brought more material and when I found the official one with the right size I didn't think twice ^^
Personal Thoughts:
I know it's a little hard to believe such a complicated costume like this was my first cosplay XD Lulu's design made me fall in love with her as soon as I saw her, like no other character ever did before, and that made me take my first step in this world ^^ Which, of course, wouldn't have been possible without the help of my mother.

I'm really happy this really difficult costume finally got the photoshoot it deserved, although I still strive to make it better and more faithful with the knowledge I got over the years and this time all by myself ^^ I need to modify the back of the corset as I didn't had references of it at that time, the flower details, use larger and rounder beads for the larger necklace and earrings, buy a good wig, remake the hairpin I lost and make them a one-piece item permanently attached to the bun. That's quite a lot, I know! I entered a contest with this costume only once, and the next time I do it I want to make sure it's as perfect as I can manage to make it ^^
