Sorry, but this looks a little like a skit my friends and sister did at Youmacon 2008... I think they copied them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IXh6v5i8bY

Having been present during the creation phase of their skit, I know for a fact that none of these girls ever saw your sister's skit. This skit was based off of the video "The Evolution of Dance," not your Youmacon skit. I have seen both videos and the only similarity is that it features characters from TMoHS doing different dances to various songs. This group focused on dances from anime and Japanese games, whereas your friends used other pop songs. There was no copying involved, please refrain from slandering my friends by accusing them of plagiarism. They worked really hard on this skit and were ecstatic when they won runner-up for Best in Show. That said, great job guys.

Thank you so much Etoile-sama. I couldn't have stood up for myself and my friend's better. We worked incredibly hard putting together the skit, spending long hours practicing and making our costumes. None of us have ever seen your sister's skit.

The fact still remains the same, it's very similar and people who didn't know that you based it off of "Evolution of Dance" wouldn't know that and a lot of people said that it looked like the Youmacon skit.

People should know what this skit is based on... it’s in the title of the skit. "The Evolution of Anime Dance." If 'lots of people’ have been saying that the skit looks like it was copied, I certainly haven't heard any of it. Everyone I know who went to the convention, even people who don't have the close personal relationship to the participants that I do, have only had good things to say about this skit. No offense, but I haven't met a single person who has even seen your sister's skit. And as I said before, they aren't nearly as similar as you seem to think they are. You're detracting from the feeling of accomplishment that these cosplayers have over winning an award for a skit they wrote and produced themselves. There are hundreds of skits every year, and many that involve dancing. Do you go around to every dance-themed skit and accuse its members of plagiarism? These cosplayers do not even attend Youmacon, and the first time they saw that skit was when you linked it here. They are not copying. Tell your ‘lots of people’ that there was no plagiarism involved and stop harassing my friends with your accusations.

Whatever, anyways, my sister and friends skit won best in show and that's all that matters. And maybe because you hang out with people who don't got to Youmacon, that might be a reason why they've never heard of it, and it might also be a reason is because it was in 2008. So, whatever.

Well, congrats to your sister. The people who matter know that the skit wasn't copied. And I'm sure that your friends/sister are much happier knowing that their skit wasn't stolen. Have a great day.

With all of that being said, I would personally like to state that These girls in the skit, did an amazing job and I'm don't think that I could have lost to a better dancing group. Congratulations on your EPIC win! (The Yoruichi who flipped across the stage.) Also thanks for winning a trophy for the Embassy Suites! Next year it's ours! (Lol ^_^)

Hehe thank you very much ^_^ I remember your skit; I can't even pretend to do the splits. And keep your chin up, we didn't even think about winning anything this year, we just wanted to get up there and dance! Best of luck to you next year. We'll see you there.
