Well that was me. My first time appearing in the Masquerade. It was a good thing that it just happened to be the year where there was a shortage of entries, because my "put-together" costume wouldn't have cut it. Of course I prefer to use Masquerade to do skits and not so much showing off my costume. But each year I'll be improving the quality of my cosplay and hopefully one day it gets to the point where I have the guts to submit into costume judging. Haha it's too bad the main person I go with to the expo is either not comfortable or doesn't have the funds or the time to wear a cosplay, because then he can perform a skit with me, which would then give me 2 minutes of stage time, as opposed to just 1 for solo entries.
