About this Costume
Construction Details:
The shawl was made of velvet, as that wouldn't reflect much light if at all. Glow in the dark paint was used to keep the instruments in place as well as highlight them in the darkness to give off a similar effect of the Seance Room. Unfortunately the glow didn't last thru the night...The effect worked best when I was in the sun and then ran inside a dark place, like the Mansion.
Personal Thoughts:
I absolutely adore the Haunted Mansion - it's one of my favorite Disney attractions and I love all the incarnations of it all over the world. I'm most familiar with the WDW one (tho the Disneyland one is nice a sloooow).
Madame Leota is my favorite character from the ride and when my friends and I planned on doing a HM group for MNSSHP last year, I jumped at doing Leota! It was tricky to come up with a design for her that didn't involve my head on a table. So I came up with this "floating head" idea.

Majority of the photos are taken by my boyfriend Ben/wdwBen.
