Construction Details:

The shirt was made from two t-shirts from Jo-Ann Fabrics, one red and one white. I was originally going to paint the white stripe on, but it was just too stiff. So I sewed it in instead. I'm so glad I did! It looks so much better than paint! The pants were made from a stretch denim. My first attempt at them didn't come out too well, but the 2nd time went much better. The shoes are men's work boots from our local WalMart with the label removed. :3 And the monkey plushie was completely handmade too! Made from fleece, cotton for the pants, a rubber funnel for the helmet (plus paint), and a bicycle light for the siren on top. The monkey is definitely my favorite part of the whole cosplay! I LOVE that the light can be set to blink so it looks like a siren going off!

Personal Thoughts:

This must be one of my favorite cosplays! It's comfy and everyone had fun seeing it! Ape Escape was such a popular oldschool game, but there's barely any cosplays from it. It's one of my favorite games series ever, so I'm so happy to get to cosplay it!
