Cosplayer Dokudel > Costume of Utena Tenjou (Revolutionary Girl Utena)
About this Costume
- Construction Details:
Jacket was made out of broadcloth(I know cheap I was on a budget...) was fully lined with pink casa satin. Made the bias tape and did it the correct way. The epulattes was made with red casa satin and filled with polyfil. The yellow trim was bias tape. The hanging parts was fabric wrapped around then wrapped white lace to add a different touch. The yellow button are metallic gold card stock paper. The yellow cord is needlework thread. Used pink casa satin for the jackets ruffles. The shorts are red casa satin and made an elastic waist. Socks were christmas socks that I had to modify. Bought a pair of cheap shoes from kmart painted white all over it then painted the black on the front and back with hobby paint. Made the bows out of red twill.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This is actually version 2 of the costume. Version 1 was made back in 2006. I write my level hard on this one. I went all out for this costume. Even taking a step further into getting anime style eyelashes, make up with blue animation contacts. Utena always hold a special place in my heart. Been a fan of it since highschool.
I asked Erisaka if she could be my Anthy. She looks so pretty as her.
