About this Costume
Construction Details:
I originally hoped that I would be able to just buy a nice pinstripe suit and save myself the time of making one; however, it became apparent that I do not have the body of a male, so unfortunately the ones I tried on didnt fit properly and I wasnt going to drop $200 on a suit that I would end up altering. I ended up buying ITALIAN PINSTRIPE SUITING T________T (most.expensive.fabric OTL but so sexy ;__;) and making the vest and pants. I had hoped to line the cape in a very nice red pinstripe lining, but right till the end I had issues with it and had to forgo my sexy cape lining. The flame is made from tulle with three different shades of yellow-orange and red. I bought gold chains and beads from Michael's for the bling and glued on gold buttons (fun fact: those gold buttons Ive also used for Kokuyo and Hibari) and used paper clay to make the crown pendant settings.
Personal Thoughts:
It might seem hard to believe with the influx of Reborn! cosplays in my gallery, but this specific character has been a dream cosplay and a costume from Reborn! that I specifically have wanted to cosplay for a very long time. Words cannot describe how unbelievably happy I was to have the entire Primo group with me when I finally did this. Giotto or the rest of the first generation guardians may not appear very much in the anime/manga but they are pivotal to the story, being the backbone of what the series defines itself around: the Vongola Famiglia. Plus Giotto is just so damn fiiiiine ;)
