About this Costume
Construction Details:
Oh the zig zags!So much for being a fairly simple design. I modified a simplicity coat pattern to start and used a suiting and linen look alike for the coat. The shirt and skirt underneath is broadcloth. I got to use some of my quilting skills I learned in 7th grade on the front panel. I satin stitched the sleeve detail to keep it clean. I got crazy into detail on the cuffs, but I'm pleased with how it came out. The bottom of the coat has horse hair tucked into the hem to help with the shape. This was my first white button down with actual functioning buttons- so I am a bit proud of it. I did have help with Rivith on the button holes because her machine is superior to mine. The boots are Funtasma and I added the black detail and the aglets made from paper clay. The matching detail in the hair was made from fun foam to be light weight.
Personal Thoughts:
When I first talked with my friends after PCM about doing a skit for Anime Boston we were all nervous but decided to go for it. Its only been the past two years that I have been making everything myself. PCM was a bit of a push to try for something big. I'm so glad we did! We make all our props and set from cardboard- most of it salvaged so we call our self's The Cardboard Bandits- and you will be seeing more from us!!!! Thanks my fellow bandits for making an unforgettable weekend!

Styling Notes
I ordered this wig from a local wig shop, AJ's Wigs, and I can't remember the brand. I had to cut the bangs in, and the shorter layer. Sarasa helped with final styling in the hotel.
