About this Costume
Construction Details:
This was the first time I have ever made something even close to a fitted jacket. So the top was a little interesting to work with especially since I was loosing so much weight while I was making it. It ended up not fitting me correctly by the time I wore it >< So the top is made out of a light pink casa satin and is fully lined with a sparkly cotton pink lining. I used a dark blue cotton binding to outline the entire top and cuffs. None of the pockets or buttons are functional. I used velcrow and a hook and eye to close the front of the top. The cuffs have a piece of velcrow at the wrist to make them a tighter fit. The skirting is made out of a total of three tiers. The bottom is the dark pink casa and is a complete circle skirt. The second tier is the same light pink as the top and has a angled cut into the front so it would stay open all the time. The top tier is a sheer mint chiffon layer. The crown is made from a piece of foamy spray painted and glued to a thin metal hair band.
Personal Thoughts:
This Costume was honestly so much fun to wear. There are a lot of things I want to change on it, so one day it will be remade.
