About this Costume
Construction Details:
Materials Used: Purple Pointe Knit, Dark Purple Knit from my first Knit dress, string from Walmart

Patch used in photos is from Welovefine, but has since been replaced with a larger patch custom ordered from EmbroideryIBoutique

Dress top: I pulled off my old version of this dress and turned it because seam ripping it created some puckers. I sewed it to the top of the dress on the front and back so it would move minimally.

Dress: Very simple shape dress shape. Drafted the pattern for it large so I could take it in to fit me perfectly. The bottom and top are double roll hemmed.

Strings: I took the strings and braided three strands together and tied the ends. To attach to the dress, I cut small holes in the dress and slid them through, adding a dab of glue to the ends to keep them from coming out.

Gloves: I had on hand from another cosplay.

Belt: Had on hand

Socks: Wet Look Stockings from Amazon

Shoes: Lucky ebay find

Gun Construction:
Bought a Nerf CS-6 Longstrike, Barrel Extension, and scope and sanded off the logos. With some help from my grandfather, I got a PVC pipe and two couplings and a cap. One coupling was used to attach the pipe to the extention part of the rifle using gorilla glue. The other way put onto the end and had the cap glued to it to make the muzzle. The muzzle has small holes drilled into it to replicate the look of the original gun.

The PVC has craft foam glued onto it to make the ridges and give it a 3D look.

The gun breaks into 4 parts (Main Chamber, Barrel Extension, PVC Pipe Extension, and Scope) and each piece was painted separately.

Finally I hand painted the Betty Crocker logo onto both sides with acrylic paint and added rivets made of googly eyes I spray painted silver.
Personal Thoughts:
Glad to Have finally remade this and get photos after doing it two years ago!!!! I replaced the patch used in the photos since then and next time I wear it I'm adding more strings because I felt the bottom came out plainer than I liked
