Construction Details:

My friends and I put together a group of Christmas Sailor Scouts for Yulecon. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find light blue stretch velvet... I really wanted something more aqua blue but the light periwinkle blue was all I could find anywhere.

Outfit is made from stretch flat velvet ordered from Spandexworld online, sparkle fur trim, and white pompoms. I ordered the Leg Avenue angel wings, and completely overhauled them with loose feathers so they looked less Halloween-y. It went together very quickly and it's definitely something I plan to bring out every year at Christmas conventions!

I love this costume! It's cute and fluffy, and very comfy to make. I'm especially proud of how my boot covers turned out - it's my second set I've ever made, and I think they look great.

Maybe for next year we'll find a Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto... ^^
