Yuna Gun Mage Boots

Post by Laura92 » Thu Jul 22, 2004 5:14 pm

Ok. The hard part is over- I have some boots that I can transform. However, they're just old, black leather, and not shiny happy purple and silver fun boots. I was planning on just spray painting them, but I don't know how well that would work on them. Any ideas? arigato!

I remember I transformed some boots one time just by sewing what fabric I was going to use directly onto the boot. It hurt my hand like crazy but it actually looked decently well.

But for this, I really wouldn't know. I usually try and get the closest thing to my reference as humanly possible.

Maybe I'll just end up sewing it. T-T

Leather paint is nice and so is getting that steel toe she has going on there with her boots. I would love doing that part.

Yea, Im going to try to find some type of chrome paint. I know they have it in spray paint, so maybe they have some in acyrlic. If not, I can just get silver acrylic. No biggie.

Spraypaint seems like a good idea, but it'll make your boots smell for a long long long time. I did it on a leather belt once and i couldn't wear it cuase it smelt so bad. But if you need too use it, do and you'll eventatly get used to the smell...after all your braincells die... :P

That it does. The best thing for Yuna boots is to either sew the fabric on the boot or use leather paint; however, that has already been said. For the silver acrylic paint may be the best choice; however, in the house paint there are some silver spraypaint that with a shinning spray will look almost like metal.

Yea, Im using some Liquitex acrylic purple paint and then once I do that I'm gonna go and get some in silver. I think it'll work, it said it'd work on vinyls and that it was flexible. ^__^ *fingers crossed*
