my sister asked me what I wanted for my birthday, but had to be less than $100[shipping included], so of all things I decided to get a cosplay. Who Should I Cosplay tho?

^^ just some suggestions without the need for wigs (though chrome's hair is slightly blue/violet... but black hair is passable). I think characters that look youthful, with large eyes will suit you. But it really comes down to the series and characters you like ^^

I was thinking of Hama or Azula in Avatar and Luka from vocaloid [I was thinking of doing a JBF outfit, & I know I'll need a wig for her] as well. Just hope to look the part.

The closer the person looks to me the better, but I'd be willing to turn my hair a different shade for a bit and splurge a bit of money. Both anime AND video game characters will be accepted, but no women.

The Anime Character Database can help you. You put in whatever visual traits you're looking for (in this case, yours) and then hit search and it'll give a whole slew of characters who look like that. If you don't care about a certain field (like if you don't care about hair color/length) just leave it blank and it won't focus on that trait.

May I make suggestions to help ya? ^^

Pick someone you like/love & enjoy or base it from an anime you like. Dont choose a character cause he/she is popular. Pick the character cause genuinely you like it! Nothing worst then forcing yourself into a character just for the sake of popularity or pics taken!

Also look at YOU. How tall are you? How short are you? Are u flat chested?, small busted ,big ,curvy,skinny etc Plus the same applies for guys.

Ex. I am 4'11-5'0 I'm small busted and skinny/thin. -I choose young girls cause its easier to do, Ie. Lina Inverse, Sailot Saturn, Mint (Toyko Mew Mew), that chick crossdesser from Ouren Host Club. Characters like that and maids. Also You can always make up your own character like dress up gothic like or even! If you DONT want to or cant afford the costume, look up pictures of that character and see what else he or she wears.

You might find out your character wears a very easy every day outfits!

Also if your on a budget maybe invest in the wig first & look for the easy outfit!
