Obtainment of Styrofoam

Post by mindtailor » Mon Jun 21, 2004 7:57 pm

I need to obtain relatively large blocks of styrofoam so I can cut/sand it. I need the packing kind, not the crap-ola that crumbles when you grab it firmly. (Think the kind that TVs come packed in, versus the kind in styrofoam balls used to make planets when you were in elementary school.)

Where do you suggest that I obtain said blocks or large pieces, and if you have any lying around could you send it to me?

My dad's on ebay a lot and has the world's supply of packing materials, I swear! I can ask, but knowing my dad, I have to ask you not to get your hopes up. I can also ask my friends too ^^
Every now and then I find such things in my garage or attic, you might try there...

what sort of glue should I use on styrofoam? I'm probably going to go with the sheet stuff from home depot, to give you an idea of the consistency/texture
