Post by Heartilly » Thu Nov 24, 2005 9:40 pm

I'm almost finished with my Rinoa costume, but I'm not sure how to make the weapon. Anyone with experiance or any ideas? :D

1 2

Two tiny, craptastic images. It just looks like a pinwheel to me, or like fan-blades.

I saw that on google, but I didn't know what that was.

What's the size and what are you willing to spend?

Get some bed sheets and wire. Make kind of a daisy pattern with the wire. Cut the bed sheets to make the wings. looks like 8 wings, so make 16 wings on the cuts. Now sandwhich the wires between the 2 sheets and sew the wire into the sheets. Then use whatever for the cente, maybe colored duck-tape or other cloth.

If you're looking for something more sturdier than wire, use Dowel rods taped to the leadeing wing on the wires.

If you really want to get crazzy... Use duck-tape for everything.

Maybe my advice is going downhill... I'm in a bad mood, I'm going Hiatus

Wow. You could probably use foam sheets with some reinforcement, or use cardboard or papier mache, depending on how nice you want it to look (then again, it's the effort you put into it).
