Sewing Patterns for Costumes
HELP! I was wondering if anyone had patterns for Kikyou's (InuYasha) costume (could be InuYasha too) and/or Sesshomarus. If you do PLEASE e-mail me at cheese_myster_@hotmail.com or reply in this forum.

You should go to a fabric store and bring a picture of Kikyo and ask them if they have any patterns for it .

Bringing a picture to a store and asking for a pattern like it will do nothing but get the reply, "I'm sorry we don't have anything like that."
Most of the time, you need to alter existing patterns or create your own.
In response though to the original post, I have no patterns just laying around since I don't use patterns myself. There are sites though that sometimes make patterns but sometimes they are more expensive than the actual costume.

I never use patterns- ever. Dont bother with them! Just get some thread and let loose. If you measure correctly and use a marking pencil for cutting, you'll be fine. I dont find patterns particularly helpful.

Exactly! Patterns were always very confusing for me even though some of my friends swear they are easier than what I do. So it's kind of a two sided argument.
