Armor

Post by Nodalec » Fri Feb 13, 2004 5:39 pm

Any chance anyone knows/has tips on how to make armor? I'm thinking about cosplaying as Pirogoeth to A-kon, and she wears armor....I'd rather do it out of metal, but I'm not sure if that's possible using what I've got in my dad's garage.. Would it be better to fake it? If so..with what?

Well people would like to be realistic, but let's look at this a little harder
Metal:
Heavy
Difficult to purchase
Expensive, even if you do find a place
Dangerous (especially the edges)
Requires special equipment to work with
I don't suppose you know how to weld do you?

Alternatives include:
Paper Mache
Cardboard
Plastic
Foam
Or a mixture/combination of all of those can be equally as effective and won't kill you or your back account in the process.

Yes...I do know how to weld....
^.^ My bank account has no wish to be drained though...I'll probably use foam or something.
Thanks for your help!

Cool! Welding is a good skill to have!
You could use that skill when you're working on the Kill Stick and stuff.

However armor would take alot more material, so going with the foam for the armor's a good choice.
