While driving home from A-kon earlier this month, a fantastic idea hit me for a skit involving characters from FF Advent Children.
But it bothers me that those characters are WIDELY popular and it seems like everyone is useing them. But a friend also pointed out that this also means more people will enjoy the skit because they recognize the characters.
Any tips or such?

when I first got into anime/manga a couple years ago, I treasured it because it was unique. But if you all cosplay the same thing, it would mean that people would get tired of seeing it over and over again, so try something different. :D

Only if you're sure you'd make a REALLY good one, otherwise it does get boreing fast and no one pays attention to you.

Go for it - if you have a great skit idea, it shouldn't matter whether or not the characters are widely cosplayed. Like you said, though, if you plan on doing the skit at A-kon or the like it'd be helpful if more of the audience could identify with the characters.

Thank you so much!
