Cousin of a Cosplayer!

Hello everyone!
Just thought I'd take a few minutes to introduce myself! I'm Bridget, 18, a senior at a private Christian High School in Missouri.
My cousin has mentioned the different anime conventions that she has attended, and the various awards she has gotten from different cosplay events/skits/videos and such. (I think she said her personal favorite was Ouran High School Host Club??) And anywho, the reason I joined was that I was quite intrigued! Dressing up as certain characters and stuff...it sounds quite exciting for sure!
Just for the record, I'm not a huge, huge fan of anime/manga (I don't know the difference! XD) but I do have my favorites! These include Hot Gimmick, Inuyasha, Wolf's Rain and Samurai Champloo. I think it would be quite extraordinary to play as one of the characters from one of my mentioned favorites!
So anywho, I apologize for the complete newbie view of everything!
