Our group just performed this dance at the Masquerade this year.

I taught the group how to dance it. It is a hard and easy dance at the same time. What makes the dance easy is that the moves aren't difficult and since most of us have grown up seeing the video, we recognize the moves. The hard part is that the dance for a lot of it doesn't follow beats all the way. For example, we had originally had an extra part before the part we did, where they clap their hands over their head and slide to the side. The move starts on a count of 1 but is only 7 counts long, thus making the second move start on the 8th count and finishing on the 6th count. This might not make sense, unless you're in band or a dancer.

My main suggestion is that you have one person who is either good with dance or beat in general and watch the video over and learn the dance. Preferably a mirrored version if they aren't a dancer cause they could be thrown off and be doing the dance in reverse direction. And make sure people can find the beat in the dance. They should be able to since we are familiar with it, but it could take some getting use to for some people.

Also, having a strong leader helps. They can motivate the people to follow through. We practiced for 5 months, 2 times a week, 1 hour per session. Any longer than an hour tends to really tired people out and they start to perform poorly and any less than 1 time a week tends to let people forget moves if they don't have it down in muscle memory yet.

Good Luck!!
