Hi!

I'm attending a convention in October (Anime Banzai 2008) and would like some help finding a very elegant and beautiful costume to make for the costume contest.

I don't have a picture on this computer at the moment, but I can give a description of what I look like.

Height: 5'5
Weight: Around 100 lbs.
Hair: Honey-Nut Blond and VERY short. I plan on getting a wig.
Eyes: Blue, but I have colored contacts. I also have glasses.
Age: While I don't really think it matters, people always ask me this for some reason... 0_0 anyway, I'm fourteen.

I REALLY want to wear an elaborate Kimono, but the only character I can find that I'm willing to cosplay as is Soha from Bride of the Water God. BUT, since the manga is not popular here, in the United States, I cannot find ANY good ful-color pictures of any of her outfits (In fact, I can't find any pictures from the series that aren't just manga scans at all) I also cannot find any pictures of people that have cosplayed as her before. So, I would have to guess on all the colors.

Of course, I'd be fine with wearing a fancy dress, it's just that I'm already doing a NANA group cosplay and I agreed to dress up as Reira in her Trigger Album white gown for the other convention day, so I'd rather make a Kimono then another gown.

I'm open to suggestions from ANY series EXCEPT FOR:

Anything created by Clamp. I have nightmares about Clamp ninja's who try and force me to watch and read Clamp Creations. lol
Naruto

Time isn't a problem, as I still have over half a year to get the costume done. Money isn't a problem either, because my parents promised they'd pay for my costumes.


I'm sorry if this post made no sense at all-- my brain has been turned off all day long. I'll try to get some pictures posted when I'm not feeling as spacey.

So a kimono! Sweet! That is amazing.

If you don't mind cross-playing (kind of...you would be crossdressing as a crossdresser lol) then Nuriko is very elegant and his kimono is beautiful.

oh yeah, something I did not think of before is Kaoru Kamiya from Rurouni Kenshin. I'm watching that series right now, so I feel kinda silly that I didn't think of it earlier. ^^;

Her usual one is a cute yellow one, but I couldn't find any good pics of it.
She wears bunches of them, so pretty much take your pick!
