EDIT: I decided to cosplay Yomi, and there is a picture at the bottom of the page.


I only have a little over a week to make my costume, and I've never cosplayed before. (I do have some sewing experience) So I need something uncomplicated.

Ideas so far:
A friend suggested Yomi from Azumanga Daioh, but the skirt may be too short for me.

I was thinking of being Sheeta in her blue dress from Castle in the Sky.
What do you think? Am I too old? Is it simply a bad idea? Is my hair too short? Have any other ideas?

Help would be much appreciated! ^__^

Stats: I'm 18 years old, 5ft 3in, blue-green eyes, light brown hair, 130 lbs, and pale, slightly freckled skin. Glasses or Contacts.

What I like: Anything Ghibli, Saikano, Clover, Azumanga Daioh, Lain, Boogiepop phantom, Evangelion, Paranoia Agent (stuff by Satoshi Kon), Legend of Zelda, FFX.....

..but whomever I cosplay can come from any series or whatever. I doubt there's anyone I could be in those listed above.

I voted for Yomi, but I think you'd be able to pull of either one. Remember, above all else, the top priority is too fun ^_^

Has that ever been done? Cosplaying a character whose cosplaying? XD That would be...interesting. And very bad, yes, very bad idea.

I like her normal outfit too. That's probably what I'll do if I decide to be Yomi. Thanks!

People h-a-v-e cosplayed characters that were cosplaying another character, but I was more-or-less joking around with that suggestion. I think at best, it would just be causing confusion. If you want to though, it's up to you, and I wish you luck no matter what you choose to be ^_^

(I'd stay away from no-face, if I were you. He's a bit.. t-o-o easy. A lot of people see him as a character people use when they have no other option. However he's a great character, and the movie Spirited Away is quite awesome )

Well, a lot of people are still in school. I'd say let it run for a while to see about getting results/votes. I WOULD be in college, but yeah.. my accident kinda keeps me from going back to classes and work -.-;

Well, I told my mom of my plans, and showed her a picture of Yomi....and she said she found a pattern for $3 for a pleated skirt.

I'm thinking maybe I'll do both costumes, since the Animevegas Con is 3 days total.
