Hi. I’m new to this cosplay thing. First, I have to say to all of you long time cosplayers, not only is cosplay a form of art, but it should also be considered a sport. There’s a lot that goes into this. I really envy all of you out there that do this regularly. I’m learning it’s not easy.

I decided to make a Groot costume. After watching and reading a lot, I’ve used polyethylene foam tubes from HD. I just finished the legs, and they look good, but there’s definitely gaps that I’d like to close up. Hot glue melts the foam when I use it to stick two pieces together. I’ve used contact cement, but that takes a while, and is kind of pricey. Was wondering if there was anything quick and easy to do the trick? Obviously has to be flexible too for when I’m moving around.

Thanks!
