What do you guys think?

Post by ChibiBex » Sat Jul 30, 2011 7:56 pm

Okay so I'm pretty new to ACP so I'm still trying to figure all this out. :P

I have ideas on who I'd want to cosplay in the future, but I'm kinda curious on what other people see me as.

I'm 5'2 (I'm short, I know..)
I'm willing to crossplay, wear contacts, and wigs.

WonderCon 2012 in Anaheim Convention Report

Post by AngelKryzzt » Fri Aug 05, 2011 3:30 pm

After being unable to return to the Moscone Convention Center, Wondercon relocated to the Anaheim Convention Center! It took up the 2nd and 3rd floors but only a third of the ground floor. It was accompanied by a gymnastics and cheerleader competition who were all gawking at the cosplayers walking by. Considering that Blizzcon is cancelled this year, it's nice to have a convention at the ACC. As a little brother convention to SDCC, Wondercon was welcome at the ACC, however parking was a chore. There is no way that the ACC would be able to support the behemoth that is SDCC, as they have made multiple bids to try and move SDCC up there. Being the little bro con to SDCC however does have it's perks. Press registration was incredibly smooth and minimal time wait, and on time.
The dealer's room was rather large and had plenty of vendors and things to spend money on. It was organized too, with the artist section, comics section, anime section and toy sections. We spent alot of our time at the Kotobukiya booth, staring at their vast selection of Star Wars, Marvel, DC and Tekken figure lines.

Be gone!
Friday was a little bit on the slow side, with people still at school and work, but also Viz held their Shonen Jump Alpha Event with great participation. Here's a link to their coverage of the event.

We spent most of our time Friday shopping as the dealer's room was much more navigatable than on other days, because even though it is Wondercon, it can still get quite congested.

On Saturday, Kotobukiya had their Spring release panel where they gave away a Thor pre-release statue to a lucky attendee! They announced a variety of new figures on the way including Bishoujo Commander Shepard, Lady Deadpool, Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho among many others. Excitement in the figure realm.

Just like the little brother, Wondercon's masquerade has always been smaller than that of SDCCs. There weren't many anime entries at all with the majority of costumes hailing from DC comics. The backscreen set up was improved, as it appears more stage like without the Wondercon logo plastered all over. However there were technical issues with several entries having cut off or lost their soundtracks completely without the chance for a redo. The masquerade lasted 50 minutes and judging took longer than the masquerade itself.
CosFest which is the name of Pacific Media Expo's masquerade, was well attended this year. Even so, the masquerade was enjoyable to watch, and we encourage more of you to participate!
There were 22 entries competing in the event of the night, of which they can all be viewed here if you missed out: http://www.acparadise.com/ace/cons.php?cyid=4673&t=3
The half time show was a rehash from SDCC (hand me downs) consisting of Star Wars fan videos. If you went to SDCC, you could easily skip Wondercon's half time show.
Best of Show went to Maximum Pwnage for the 4th year in a row: http://www.acparadise.com/ace/vid.php?v=6734&s=h

Sunday

Namco-Bandai and Viz held their panel to celebrate the release of their latest Naruto game. Everyone that stayed at the panel also got a copy of the game for PS3 or XBox360! If you don't go to these panels people, you are missing out!

Overall : We loved having Wondercon at the ACC, please build a larger parking structure, and we plan to attend if it returns to either the Moscone or ACC.

you are really pretty,so what comes to mind at first is belarus from hetalia and i believe theres a "mexico"[not familiar with the series] and she is brunette so you ould use your real hair for that.
i also think you would do well at something like youroichi[sp? again i dont watch the series] from bleach.
