He is My Master

Post by vietgirl018 » Sat Apr 18, 2009 4:22 pm

I recently just brought a use He is My Master Maid outfit.

I want to make the skirt part heavier somehow. I was thinking about adding a petticoat under the skirt part to make it heavier a little or to at least know im safe from people's eyes and the wind.

The material it is was made out of, is way to light. If i spin or the wind blows, oh no...it will fly up.

What can i do? Or do i have to re-make the whole thing? The apron comes off so i dont need to fix that. Just need to fix the dress part i guess.

Well, while it's hard to fix something like choosing the wrong material (whoever made that should have considered it better), there are things you can do to make it better.

For instance, you could add fusible interfacing underneath. Try to get black so it's not so noticeable. then you just iron it to the underneath. this will weigh the skirt down a little.

you could also make a second skirt to wear underneath out of something heavier, and put a few tacks so the two skirts are sewn together.

or, you could wear some little kick-pants (booty shorts) underneath. If I think there's even the remotest possibility of a panty shot in my cosplays, I always wear them.

hopefully that works out for you! good luck!
