Sweet Lolita {Help?}

Post by Misuzulucy » Sun Mar 22, 2009 6:23 pm

For the longest time I've wanted to buy a Lolita outfit, but like most unemployed 13 year old, I don't have a job. So I've decided that since I'm flat broke, I'll just make one! The thing is, I don't know how to get started. I've looked at several posts concerning the same topic, but not much luck. Can anyone help me? ^_^
P.s.-I can't post an image due to the fact that I'm on my iPod. x__x;;

well, what you will want to do is look through patterns to find something lolita-ish. this can be a frustrating process as you will have to comb through lots of patterns. however, there are some out there, such as:
http://www.simplicity.com/index.cfm?pag ... tartRow=10 (look at project runway 2724, if made in the right fabric, could be lolita. that's a mix-and-match pattern)

http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5138 ... sts&page=5 (this is a good base for a lolita shirt, see views A, B)

http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5856 ... nts&page=1 (good skirt base)

http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5631 ... nts&page=1 (another good skirt base)

reading this:

can be very helpful, if you scroll down a bit to "anatomy of a lolita outfit" even though you probably already know what lolita is, it can make it more specific to hone in what you are looking for.

comb the internet. google is your friend. :)

good luck!
