Help with a Sanzo costume

Post by kitgal421 » Tue Mar 06, 2007 7:42 pm

I am hoping to make a Sanzo(Saiyuki) costume for my next cosplay. I really don't know where to start though  My friend is really good at sewing and has agreed to help me. I also can easily get a blond wig. It would be really really helpful if someone could post a good picture of the costume.

From what I can tell, all I would need to do is get a white robe with a black obi also a black undershirt/turtleneck. The chest plate...I'm not so sure how to do. Is it actually connected to the robe or tied on? The scroll shouldn't be too difficult as long as I can find a good picture of the japanese characters written on it.

Any help you guys can provide is very very much appreciated!

this...truelly made me laugh my ass off, considering I'm watching the series AS I TYPE THIS for atleast the tenth timrsince I bought it.

ok,use a simple kimono pattern, and use CREAM material, not white (white doesn't do so well in pictures..)

the obi will be easy.
