I can't sew without a pattern

I'm looking for a source of patterns I can adapt for more basic female anime clothing, and if there are any cosplayers out there that might be willing to sell me patterns for more complicated costumes.

Unfortunately I'm a newbie at cosplaying, but if I were you (this is what I'm going to do for my costume) go out to any store with fabric (Jo-ann, Wal-Mart, hancocks, etc.) and look for patterns that relate to your costume there! ^^

I love this site. I find the pattern I want on the site then go to my local store and buy it.
