I was hoping for suggestions and tips about how to make a really good merchant costume. This is my first cosplay and I have an attitude of either go big or go home. So I want to make this right and have it be a memorable experience (for all the right reasons) time is an option but it won't be till next years otakon. Especially tips on how to stock my coat, and whether or not I need contacts. Thank you so much!

It would help if you'd post a picture or a link to a picture of what you want to make. Some of us haven't seen the show/played the game but know how to make stuff if we have a picture to go by. ^^
