need help constructing a sogeking mask and kabuto staff.

you see, i've been trying to make this mask with paris-craft, but it's too weak and it keeps caving in.

what should i do? start over and make it out of something else?

and also, i need to make a staff that doubles as a slingshot. what should i make if out of?

I've never heard of those items, got any refrence pics?

Also, the staff shouldn't be anything hollow because that tends to break, sounds like your best bet would be Oak wood
