need help on how to make cloud strife armor shoulder plate

Hi my friend is going to cosplay as cloud strife from final fantasy VII. he wants to know what do u use for materials on how to make it. any ideas would be greatly appricated.

His armor from Kingdom Hearts is pretty similar. Amethyst-Angel has a pretty good explanation of how to make it. Click the link.

Hers is made from an oversized Christmas ornaments, foam, and polystyrene. (It sounds goofy, but it looks perfect!)

There are many ways to make armor but I find two particular ways that tend to work best.
First off, you can make it out of baking clay. Then paint it and spray it with gloss.
Another way to make it is a bit easier. Take some Chicken wire and paper machet. Works like a charm.
