Post by Lady_Subaru62 » Tue Jan 18, 2005 2:21 pm

I know that I am making another board but I need help. I bought a pair of pull on boots. The ones with the spandex on the sides. I was wondering if there is any paint that I could paint them with out is cracking on me. Because I dont know how to make boot covers. Thanks.
These are the ones that I bought http://www.electriqueboutique.com/shop/ ... PHA-04-BLK

Don't use acrylic...it doesn't work. Trust me. If I think of anything that will work well (short of dying that part of the boot), I'll let you know.

I've heard of people using leather paint, but I don't know how well that'd work for you. It does say that it works on cloth, though...

Wow, five bucks -- great price!
I agree with mindtailor: go with leather paint. Vinyl paint might work too.

I think you can order from the link that mindtailor posted. You can also try a shoe repair shop in your town. When you paint the stretchy fabric part of your boots, you might want to stick a fat jar or something in them to stretch the fabric so the paint can fill in better.

I've painted boots with Liquitex acrylic before. It doesnt crack for a long time, which is nice.

I think that I am going to go with boot covers because the boots are not the right ones.
