So... I need help with cosplay. I have always been interested in it, but i'm finally going to be going to a convention to show it off (lol). I need to pick an anime, then a character. I was just wondering though, is it okay to dress up as a boy character if you're a girl? Cuz' I have alot of the characteristics of Sora, from Kingdom Hearts (really bright blue eyes, short brown hair that i can spike back like him, and some other things) If not, back to square one lol. I might go for Sakura then, short brown hair etc. Please let me know what you think. Oh and where is a good convention to go to? :D

There's no problem with crossplay. *forgot what he was about to say*

Edit: Ah! I think it's a great idea, if you want to do it. =) And as for a great convention, knowing your location would help. XD

of course! crossplay can be awesome, but also very very frightening in the case of man-faye *dies*

Actually, there are a few characters that almost have to be cosplayed. Prince(ess) of Tennis and Ed from Full Metal Alchmist come to mind.

You mean characters that must be crossplayed? I can't really say much about Prince of Tennis, because I know a few guys that look the part (kinda). It's just that females have a better chance because of the femenine look the characters have. And as for Ed, I always thought Ed was female. =/

Hah. Well, I guess I can understand that. It took me five episodes and my friend screaming at me to realize that Integral wasn't a man. 0.o;;;

Wait a minute. The Tiger was just screaming that Ed's shirt was off in episode two. What kind of man are you???

(Unless you are just watching on AS, they've only shown episode one so far)

Crossplay lol I like the way that sounds

Okay, well my location is Wisconsin, but i'm willing to travel to a place, not to far, somewhere that it would only take a half a day or whatever, maybe even one day. Isn't there one in Illinois? I am so happy. I want to go really bad. What is an average price to get in?

There's Anime Central in March, I believe. Check out the links in the lower section of the forum.

Bah, I usually do props last. But that's just me. I know that I can get almost any prop done and have it look good but with costumes, sometimes they just don't turn out. I would rather start with a costume and see how that looks before I start on a time consuming prop.
