Larva's mask.

Post by Nema-chan » Tue Jul 20, 2004 6:26 pm

I was planning on going as Larva to animeFEST, or A-kon. I can't find many good pictures of his mask. I have his hood thing finished I just need help making the mask. I figured I would find one of the clear masks they have at party stores cover it with some kind of clay mold type thing and add the jewels and paint onto it. I'm not sure if it would work. If you have any ideas please help. I have already checked eBay. X3

The solid color ones that I have found, only covered half of the face.

Have you tried looking at craft places such as Michaels or Hobby Lobby? I obtained my white mask (which was used as a base) for my Larva mask from Michaels.

I don't know if there are features elsewhere besides florida, but I have found that they have the best base masks. I couldn't find a good enough one at Michael's, but I was able to find a bunch there. They also have several different solid colors although I don't remember what they are since it's been about three years since I did any masks.

Yeah, try a craft store. They have lots of base masks that you can easily paint or do whatever to.
