Change of Plans

Post by Sojiro Seta » Wed Apr 13, 2005 5:33 pm

I decided I will not being going as Haku, and most likely not as a rogue. I need help making a Kyoshiro costume for the AX. I have a few pictures, I just need to know how to make his kimono. I want to make the one he wears in the beggining of the series.

Simple as cosplaying can get!

Use a normal Gii for Karate class and get the hemming in that color, either by Magic Marker, or sewing. next, get a knife and start hacking away wildly at the arms... That's easy

Aren't Gii's a little on the thick side too?

yes my thoughts exactly. Plus after looking at my mangas closer I saw it was kimono(although I could be mistaken). So if a gii still works please tell me otherwise, how do I make his kimono

yes,gi's are really thick!and heavy too.I should know,I'm a black belt and I made my costume out of a gi.

no,Kyoshiro's more of a robe/kimono. and with a gi,it wouldn't look right at all, unless you got a pattern for a gi and used it and adjsuted it to the way you need it.see, the cross over is just like a gi,but it's a mans kimono.

if that made any sense*looked at above sentence*oi...any way, take a lookie at my costume,I"m Benitora the read tiger from Samurai Deeper Kyo:) http://photobucket.com/albums/v164/penn ... G_1656.jpg
