Bah, I usually do props last. But that's just me. I know that I can get almost any prop done and have it look good but with costumes, sometimes they just don't turn out. I would rather start with a costume and see how that looks before I start on a time consuming prop.

I agree fully with Tia.

Otakon cared more for L'Arc~en~ciel rather than making sure that cosplayers felt welcomed there. I don't like any cons where more emphasis is placed on the J-rock star rather than the cosplayers
