For making your own patterns, you can also get clothes that look like the outfit's top and use that as a pattern. Just make sure you leave yourself tons of seam room.

It's totally worth missing out on lunch everyday for it. Amphigory wigs are awesome and they last for a long time. I even tried to look at comparision prices for their competitors like witchwigs. Well, Lulu's belts are known to be on the thick (for width) side so I figured, since it would be hard to find so many belts that would fit your purpose, to just make them. Second hand shops is where I would hope to find cut up belts but I thought that they would perhaps be a little too thick to sew ...

Hmmmm, I would buy thin leather and sew them onto the edges of the dress. But I would also support it with a frame so that the dress isn't dragged down into the ground by the weight of the belts.

Foam padding and the basic starting material of the foam are the same thing. Just the ways you have to cover it are going to be slightly different if you want. Fiberglass sheets are still the best elements to use as the Tutorial stated that I sent Sakura. Fiberglass sheets, with bondo, putty filler,...

It just depends! The Sailor Moon wig would weigh more than the Satoshi wig because the SM wig has extensions and independent odangos! All that is extra weight alongside any accessories anyone wants. Depends on the wig's final weight! Hello, I've seen all of Chobits and while it is quite good, that costume doesn't appear in it. The Wonder of Ears

I'm going as Youkai Goku from Saiyuki to Anime Central 2004 but I need to have some good advice about the ears. I've seen a lot of elves done and up close their ears look really bad because you can see the divider between the two and also, Goku's are really big and pointy (so I can't get LotR ones)....
