Painting this thing was the first time that I would use spray paints exclusively. Had a hard time taping off the gold parts, but it worked out well. So eventually I just did it the RIGHT way and I printed out the sword from the art, then traced it out onto my plywood. Everything on the sword was fabricated by me. The buckles on the bottom are sintra and the loops are made from plywood on either side. Smoothed it out with a ton of sanding as well...

Added the same style of detailing on the forearm armor as well as the clamshell under bracer. For something this massive I typically seal the foam with plasti-dip or bondo (I haven't worked out a preference just yet) then I apply fiberglass cloth and resin.
