Well... it would all depend on the cosplay and the person wearing it. Exapmle, if you do not look like Goku from DBZ or do not look like Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo! ...you are going to clash with the cosplay costume. This works just the other way around, and races do not count. And for a last note... on...

I never got to that game cuz' the first one was hard enough. lol. :P And as for my favorite character... hmmm... I always liked Aura cuz' she is so mystrius. But If I had to cosplay a fav. it would have to be a character from G.U. ...Haseo. I'd pick him cuz' I understand the character's personality ...
