Re: Organization XIII coat help

Google "Extra large zippers" and see what comes up ;) Hopefully what I am thinking of would be there.

Re: Ideas?

I don't know what's so wrong with your face shape. I think you should be so lucky that you have a nice body shape that you can look good in just about whatever you put on. Some of us aren't so lucky. Cosplay isn't about looking exactly like the character you are portraying. Its about having fun with...

Re: Matt from Death Note

It looks like a shirt, not a vest. Search for black and white striped t shirts, first and foremost. You can cut open the neck and add some fabric for the wide collar, as well as make the slits for the bandages underneath. For pants, find a pair of jeans that fit you tightly that are a little long an...

Re: Organization XIII coat help

A sturdy cotton twill (possibly black denim at least 14 oz weight) would do you great. It'll have great weight and hang. Its a pretty traditional trenchoat-type material (when not going into wools, which are way hotter) For patterns, open up a pattern book at your local fabric store. Look under dres...

Re: I need help with Allen Walker cosplay...PLZ

Well, what is your cosplay experience? Have you sewn before? Because if you haven't, lessons might be a crucial first step and all that. Can you buy something similar and modify it? If you can sew, have you gone to a fabric store and looked at patterns that might be similar? Gotta give us something ...

Re: -- Anime Expo -- 2009.

Well, if all goes well, I know I'll have at least one new big costume. Too bad I can't compete with it as its not anime or manga. Its a US WEBCOMIC! *gasp, faint* But it'll be badass. I am gonna finish it for BayCon 09 (sorry, no Fanime for me), so might as well bring it along. I haven't been to an ...

I make hats.

I also do comissions, but only for local folk, as I hate the notion of risking to mis-fit things without a double-check.

Cruel alternative? I assume you mean crude. And sculpey isn't as hard to work with as you make it seem. It worked just fine for me, and I made it like 5 years ago (when I was 13/14). Since not everyone has an expendable budget, I think it it totally acceptable, not Crude. And if a person can't work ...

Not sure about the Yoko Chick, but if you are talking about a Neopet Aisha, then I'd say use a velour or velvet type fabric. That's what I imagine the creature to feel like. Sturdy them with wire. Ta!
