Theres a magazine called Gosurori that have many patterns in each one. I only have the one scanned but take a look thru the patterns and maybe youll find something. I know there a cute mini top hat there.

That IS a good method, Id just like to add that if you have acrylic pants (tole paints) theres stuff you can get to mix in it that makes it fabric paint. Its called textile medium. You could use an iron on. I have the swirl graphic on my site in with the iron ons, but I used it on the sleeves, not the vest.
