Sew the buttons on normally (with no holes) then put velcro on the other side to keep the dress together. Saves on headaches.

Using wonderflex or paneling. Maybe window screening for the grates. and an assorment of random hinges and other hardware findings. Hold it together first with ducttape to get the shape down then with a heavy adhesive like gorrilla glue, paint with Rustoleum spray paint for that rusted look. Most of...

If it is that flat use insulation foam board (I don't know if you have the same stuff in the UK as we do) it comes in rather large sheets and are fairly cheap, then just use a box cutter to cut and carve it out.

wood and pvc is always good or even insulation foam core. it's cheap (about 8-11 bucks a 8foot sheet) and very durable you can cut and carve it to look right then paint it..just be sure to seal it before heading out it can chip.

Wonderflex for those who don't know

http://www.cosplaysupplies.com/wonderfl ... exFAQ.html

It's thermal plastic that can be molded into armor, staffs, automail and other such items. I thought that I should post this here instead of the Armor Thead just cause it seems that there are still people who dont read it.
