Lol, I couldn't pull off Duo if my life depended on it... Stephen (Dark_Tiger) was saying he wanted to do the cosplay, but he doesn't do wigs. And then I kind of wanted to do it because it's a technique wig. It might not get done now, though. It all depends on how much time I have.

All the feedback I've gotten from cosplay.com was constructive, though. Yes, a lot of people on there are perfectionists, but I'm guilty of that, too. I've stopped giving my opinion on things unless people really ask for it. It seems to help a bit, because I can be pretty blunt sometimes.

You should definitely be able to cut the bangs into it. I'm doing something similar because I had a light pink wig lying around, so I'm just making an Utena wig for the heck of it, and then going to sell it in my artist's alley booth. When I do the work on it, I'll let you know if I figure out anyth...

Um... What kind of wig are you using? It's fairly easy to cut bangs into most wigs. There's even a tutorial on amphigory.com for that.

Duo Maxwell Wig Help

Hey everybody. I have to make a Duo Maxwell wig, and I want it to be accurate. The problem is, the braid is a darned loose one. Is there any way to make the extensions sealed into the braid (like sealing three or four lengths together to get the braid long enough) without making it look bad? Or coul...

There are some tips for beginning wig stylists on Katie Bair's website at http://www.katiebair.com That should cover most of your questions. For curling a wig, you can use the big velcro rollers and a steamer. That works pretty well for me. If you don't have a steamer, you can use a blowdryer on low...

I think it's a nineteenth century period corset (I think), the kind that laces in the front. I prefer that kind myself because it's easier to get in and out of. Otherwise, you have to deal with two million hooks and eyes, and they can get bent easily.

There are patterns that you could use, but you'll have to 1. do a test version and try it on to make sure it will be tight enough 2. make a second closure in the front so you can put it on and off easily after it's tied the first time.
