Re: Military Uniform????
I think you won't be happy making this project if it's your first time sewing. Collar, cuffs, patch pockets, buttonholes...these don't make life easy for a beginner. Sorry that's not great news. Just get some practice in you before trying this jacket. The pants would be easy if you cheat and make th...

Re: Bad Girl from No More Heroes
If you can find a red and white striped fabric, you can dye it pink/fuchsia and get a good, professional looking result. Make sure you rinse, rinse, rinse after dying and use product or vinegar to set the dye before sewing the fabric. Look in upholstery fabrics, drapes, bed sheets, tablecloths, and ...

You're welcome. Here's an example of a jumper pattern: http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5703.htm??tab=list/dresses&page=all The purple & black one in that set was sort of what I thought of when I saw the video. Wow, that's an unusual braid. How long do you think the wig should be? You could possibly get a decent enough effect from a 36" one if you don't pull the braid tightly. I guess it should be a 4-strand braid to keep the sides even. The other thing that might help is taking off one weft from the back ...

I don't know that you'll find an exact match because color is such a subjective thing, but Hanes makes ladies t-shirts in a color called "Radish" which is similar to magenta. Clear plastic ornaments that open make good "big gems" as demonstrated wonderfully by Katasha. One more thing to consider is a plastic ball like those used in ball pits on kids...
