About this Costume
Construction Details:
i already had a black catsuit lying around so i just altered it. got strips of fuschia knit stretch, made them into tubes, heat n bonded them onto the catsuit. this made it considerably less stretchy but i preferred how it looked to piecing the whole thing together.

the horns. i made these three times. they were a newspaper base, with aluminum on top, with a layer of model magic on top, painted into a gradient (i painted them four different times and it took several hours each time) and then modge podged. they attached with a headband and tall screws. that didn’t work, and they kept falling over. an insanely kind guy at the ALA cosplay repair station spent an hour at the con helping me fix them. in the end, i used that string of pearls to keep the horns from falling to the sides, and attached a piece of elastic to the headband that i would tie around my forehead. this did the trick of making the horns stay up, but it gave me an extremely painful headache. if you cosplay the condesce, i would HIGHLY recommend finding another method for attaching your horns.

fins were craft foam and modge podge with jewelry stuff glued on. the basic things were from michaels and the actual jewelry (bracelets, necklace, anklets, and rings) were bought from forever 21 and various other stores— i kept accumulating more bracelets over the course of a few months. the heels were a lucky find at kohl’s (the heel is gold!! and they were the exact color and shape i wanted) but i don’t think they’re sold there anymore.
Personal Thoughts:
oh GOD this costume i made it over the course of several months and i remade each part of it at least two times………….
it was honestly a dream costume and i'm happy that i pulled it off in the end, but wearing it was awful and i've sold it since then.
Wig Details
Wig Brand
Arda Wigs
Wig Name
Long Ponytail Clip
Styling Notes
i forget how many wigs were in that wig because i just kept adding more, but in the end, i believe it was 4 wigs (the base wig, plus three more for volume/length) and 3 long curly ponytail extensions from arda. i did that one method where you cut the sides off the wigs and sew them together in layers, but i’ve lost the link to the tutorial since then. this wig was so heavy, but the volume was glorious. it’s hard to see in these photos, but when i was wearing heels, it was exactly floor length. i didn’t need wig clips— the weight of the horns counterbalanced the weight of the wig.
