About this Costume
Construction Details:

I made everything! The blue jacket and skirt are nice heavyweight cotton I scored, and I altered patterns for them. The coat pattern didn’t call for it to be lined, but I did anyways. The blouse is a button up blouse pattern I altered and made with stretch cotton. It actually doesn’t have sleeves, so I wouldn’t get hot. The tie is a satin, (yes I even made the tie!) and I learned that ties are cut on the bias, not the grain. The black clips are actually pieces of an old credit card I colored with a sharpie and glued onto clips. My little hat I patterned myself, based off my memory of my Mom’s service hat, it too is lined. The orange skulls are sculpey clay. The walkie talkies are ones that used to be Hanna Montana ones from the toy store painted and altered/added bits, and they are glued to clips that clip onto little belt loops I put on the skirt. The wire is electrical wire. Shoes are pumps I painted, but as you can see the paint started chipping off :/
Personal Thoughts:
I love this costume! I tend to cosplay stern and severe characters, so it was a nice change of pace to be super bubbly and cute!

*Fact! This costume was not meant to have gloves, why? because halfway through my first shoot I realized I'd forgotten them in my hotel room. Then when I had an opportunity to do another shoot, I ran back to my room to grab the gloves, and somewhere between my hotel and crossing the street I lost one glove! So it was destined not to happen. boo!
